Numbers and results of $102 million Powerball draw on 10/27/21

The Powerball draw took place on October 27, with a jackpot of $102 million at stake, or a cash value of $71.6 million.

The winning numbers were 03, 06, 26, 35 and 51. The Powerball number was 17 and the Power Play was 4x, which is pretty big for those playing in that round.

The 4x means those playing whose prizes are below the jackpot will see their winnings multiply by either by two or by four, making their prizes even bigger.

Did Anyone Win the Powerball Jackpot?

Sadly, no one took home the Powerball jackpot, but plenty of other big prizes were handed out.

There was one winner in California who bagged the second prize of $1 million. No one had the Power Play for the second prize.

However, there were multiple winners of the third prize, with 10 winning $50,000 and three taking home the third prize with the Power Play.

As the Power Play was 4x, those three players won $200,000 each.

The prizes then dropped down drastically, and there were thousands of winners in the low-money categories.

The jackpot of $102 million will now go up with the rollover.

As a result, the jackpot for the Halloween draw on October 31 will be $116 million, with a cash value of $81.4 million.

The cash value relates to the value of the prize if it’s given as a lump sum, as there are different payment plans available for winners.

Jackpot winners can either select their prize as an annuity or a lump-sum payment.

The annuity guarantees the winner 30 payments over the course of 29 years, with each annual payment increasing by 5 percent.

The total will add up to the bigger of the two numbers, but will mean there is less money available initially.

In California, the jackpot is calculated slightly differently as the payout amounts are pari-mutuel, meaning those who win the top prizes cover the amounts won by lower prizes, meaning their prize may be smaller.

Of course, it is always important to gamble responsibly and never risk what you do not have.
