Wolves are back in Premier League action this weekend as fans return to Molineux for the first time in over a year.
Bruno Lage ’s side take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, a game which will see former manager Nuno Espirito Santo return to the Midlands for the first time since leaving the club in the summer.
Wolves will be looking to get one over on their former boss as well as bouncing back from opening day defeat against Leicester City.
While Wolves were on the end of a 1-0 defeat, Tottenham came out a 1-0 winners over Man City in their last league outing.
Spurs however did fall to a midweek defeat vs Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League play-off.
Ahead of the game, BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson has given his prediction and is backing Wolves to take something from the game.
“This is a very early return to Molineux for Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo, and I think his old team will cause his new one a few problems,” he told BBC Sport .
“Wolves lost at Leicester last time out, but I thought they played OK and they created a few chances. The big news was Raul Jimenez’s return after serious injury, which was great to see.
“Spurs got a brilliant win against Manchester City but let’s see how they follow that up. This game is a very different test which will tell us a lot about where they are at.”

Mark Lawrenson’s prediction: Wolves 1-1 Tottenham
And former Premier League striker Michael Owen is in agreement with his fellow pundit.
“Wolves will need to start taking more of their chances. Adama Traore had a few good opportunities in the defeat to Leicester, but he’s never been a consistently reliable finisher,” he told BetVictor .
“Raul Jimenez will need to be at his best, but he may take a while to find his feet after so long out injured.
“I was happy to see Nuno Espirito Santo start with a win against Man City. The uncertainty around Harry Kane’s future can’t have been easy to manage but Spurs attack on Sunday looked dangerous. Son was outstanding and regardless of what happens with Kane, he will be key to Spurs’ success this season.
“Wolves tend to do well at home to the top sides and I can’t see them losing here. I’m predicting a 1-1 draw.”
