Aston Villa told to complete ‘perfect’ Yves Bissouma transfer

Some Aston Villa fans have been proposing their club look at making a move for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma

Villa have been linked with other central midfielders this summer with Sander Berge and Harry Winks of Sheffield United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively mentioned as potential transfer targets.

James Ward-Prowse was the subject of a rejected bid from Villa and he ended speculation about his future by signing a new contract last week.

The returning Douglas Luiz came back into Villa’s side for the game against Newcastle United on Saturday, forming a trio with Jacob Ramsey and John McGinn with Marvelous Nakamba benched from the opening-day defeat to Watford.

Along with Morgan Sanson, those players make up the midfield options currently on offer to Villa head coach Dean Smith.

Bissouma, meanwhile, has continued his strong start to the season with a fine performance in the 2-0 defeat of Watford on Saturday evening.

The Mali international was praised highly by pundits on Match of the Day and Sky Sports while his boss, Graham Potter, was also impressed.

Some Villa fans think Bissouma could be the missing link for their team and have asked sporting director Johan Lange to look at the player but even with only two years left on his contract, Bissouma is likely to be an expensive buy.

There is even talk that Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in the player.

One Villa fan wrote on social media: “I love Bissouma, he is a baller but I would imagine he is well above our level however if he were to leave but man he is the type of player we need in our midfield.”

“Bissouma would be the difference, he is just what we need,” another said.

A third fan added: “Bissouma would be a class buy for us. We need another gritty, hard working midfielder.”

“Bissouma is class, he Would be the missing piece to the jigsaw,” another said while a fifth supporter added: “Bissouma would be such a perfect fit for out midfield. I cannot see him staying at Brighton much longer, he is pure quality.”
