Arsenal delay could let Villa in
Arsenal are reportedly balking at Sheffield United’s demands for Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge.
Berge, 23, only joined the Blades 18 months ago from Belgian club Genk but isn’t expected to start the season in the Championship following their relegation.
Numerous Premier League clubs have already been linked with Berge, most notably Arsenal – though Villa are also reportedly interested.
Villa face keeper decision amid Celtic and Bayern ‘interest’
Celtic and Bayern Munich have been linked with moves for young Aston Villa goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo.
The 19-year-old Finn, who is yet to make a senior appearance for Villa, spent last season on loan in Scotland at Ayr United, making 29 appearances.
With Sinisalo’s contract due to expire next summer, Villa are said to be keen to tie him to a new deal.
But they look set to receive interest in the player this summer and, according to today’s Sunday People, Celtic, Bayern and RB Leipzig are among his admirers.
Villa planning for life about Grealish?
The future of Grealish continues to be a source of intrigue with Manchester City reportedly ready to smash the Premier League transfer record in order to prise the 25-year-old away from his boyhood club.
Manchester United have also been linked with the England midfielder.
Villa recently saw a bid for Smith Rowe knocked back by the Gunners while head coach Dean Smith continues to be linked with a move for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse.
