A round-up of the latest Aston Villa transfer news and views on Sunday, June 20, 2021.

Arsenal delay could let Villa in

Arsenal are reportedly balking at Sheffield United’s demands for Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge.

Berge, 23, only joined the Blades 18 months ago from Belgian club Genk but isn’t expected to start the season in the Championship following their relegation.

Numerous Premier League clubs have already been linked with Berge, most notably Arsenal – though Villa are also reportedly interested.

Collymore laughs off Grealish transfer theory

Stan Collymore has dismissed suggestions Aston Villa’s transfer plans are built around the expectation that Jack Grealish will leave the club this summer.

Manchester City are reportedly preparing a record-breaking bid for the Villa talisman while Manchester United have also been strongly linked with the England star.

That has led to a theory that Villa are preparing for life without Grealish, but former Villa striker Collymore disagrees.
