London: Tube passengers jump to woman’s defence

This is the moment a group of passengers leapt to a woman’s defence after a man became aggressive towards her on the London Underground.

In a video shared on Twitter, the unidentified man can be heard throwing insults and threats at a woman, who stayed calm in the face of his rage.

He can be heard shouting at her: “Oh you think you’re going to hide behind the fact you are a woman.

“‘Oh I’m such a horrible man because I said I’d smack you in your mouth. Don’t f*****g smile.”

The woman can be seen smiling, but it is not clear what she says in response.

He can then be heard shouting at her again saying: “Don’t taunt me or I’ll knock you the f**k out you c***.”

The woman does not back down at his threats and refuses to cower, saying: “If you call me a c*** I’ll call you a c***.”

The man then walks towards the woman at speed and squares up to her, forcing her to back into the door of the carriage and press into the plastic divider.
