Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke’s daughter Maya Hawke, who stars as Robin Buckley, was seen in Rome, Georgia, with the cast as they made their way to a vintage car which had wood panelling and a side opening hatch.
Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler, sported a fun ’80s-style perm, while Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield, wore stonewashed jeans and had a huge Walkman in her pocket.
Gaten Matarazzo, Dustin Henderson, and Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, were also seen in the snaps.
Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers have said the new series of the show won’t be the last.
The new season has been in development since 2019 but production has experienced a number of delays since the coronavirus outbreak hit.
In May, an official teaser was uploaded to YouTube, alluding to the sci-fi drama’s return.
In the short clip, the emblematic lab where villain Dr Brenner carried out his experiments on children, including Eleven, was shown.
The teaser also reveals a ticking clock while children dressed in hospital gowns play with cards on a rainbow car track.
The camera goes on to focus on a door marked 11, before someone is heard saying: “Eleven? Are you listening?” as Eleven’s eyes flash open.
