Thylane Blondeau, who is the daughter of former football player Patrick Blondeau, was dubbed the most beautiful girl in the world in 2007 at the age of six, and cinched the title once again in 2018. She has shared an update with fans revealing she’s had to undergo emergency surgery
Thylane Blondeau, the model dubbed the most beautiful girl in the world, has undergone emergency surgery after suffering from painful ovarian cysts.
The 20-year-old star, who topped TC Candler’s coveted list of 100 Most Beautiful Faces in 2007 at the age of six, took to social media on Sunday to detail her battle with debilitating cysts over the last year.
She posted photos from her hospital bed, including ones of her playfully posing in a hospital gown, as she explained her health problems began in 2020 when an ovarian cyst “exploded” in her stomach.
Thylane had surgery, but was experiencing pain three months later, which doctors put down to the after-effects of her first op.
“At the beginning everyone ( and I ofc ) thought it was because of the operation.
“This year I saw three different gynecologists, I’ve seen more than 4 radiology centers in Paris and all of them said the same thing, ‘don’t worry U have nothing it’s all in your head’,” she fumed.
The model told her 4.6 million followers on Instagram she visited the emergency room last week because she was in agony with stomach pain.
“I couldn’t handle it anymore and they said that everything was fine and that I had a lil kyste and I will have to do a check up in 2-3 months,” Thylane wrote.
She revealed doctors then found a cyst measuring more than five centimetres that was “touching my ovary” and she was whisked into hospital for emergency surgery that same day.
Thylane is now recovering, and she confessed she “feels free” after the op, which has eradicated her constant stomach pain.
“Today I’m finally feeling better I’m finally feeling free I really thought I was crazy for complaining about my stomach for so long. Happy that I’ve never gave up,” she shared.
Thylane then urged her fans to push for expert advice when suffering from chronic pain, and told them not to be dismissed by doctors.
“From this experience I’ve learned that when you’re body hurts, don’t let it slide and take care of it, you must see different doctors until some of them find the problem and heals it,” she wrote.
“Any pain even the little ones can hide something way more important,” Thylane added, as she thanked her doctor who “literally saved my life”.
She then thanked her boyfriend Ben Attal, who she said had been by her side when her stomach problems began last year.
“And ofc my mom who directly took a train from south of France to join me, and my boyfriend who helped me since 1 year ago with my belly problems,” she gushed.
Thylane shot to fame in 2007 when she topped the coveted list of 100 Most Beautiful Faces, and won the accolade again in 2018.
