Mel predicts all five Spices – Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Posh – will reunite on stage for live performances in the near future after ‘chipping away’ at Victoria to rejoin the group
The Spice Girls will reunite as a five piece – complete with Posh Spice herself, according to Mel C.
The 47-year-old singer, known as Sporty Spice, says she has been “chipping away” at Victoria Beckham in an effort to convince her to return to the group after she shunned them for the 2019 Spice World tour.
According to Mel, 47-year-old Posh would be willing to return to the stage to sing alongside Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner for a future tour.
While it also sounds like the band are planning to keep touring many times in the future – including a special full band reunion to sing at Glastonbury.
Speaking to The Sun, Mel said: “We would love to have her back on stage.
“In all honesty, I think it’s gonna happen. At some point, I think Posh Spice will be back on stage.”
She went on to explain her hopes of touring time and again with the girls, continuing: “We talk about it constantly. We did the shows in 2019 – the plan was to continue.
“Of course, the world has been in such turmoil, but the plan beyond this is to get out there when it’s safe, when we can do it.”

While the Mel previously said that she knew: “Mrs Beckham would love to do Glastonbury.”
Last month, Mel B suggested that Victoria would be rejoining the group for a future tour.
She said while hosting Steph’s Packed Lunch: “We did our last tour and Victoria respectfully ducked out, and you have to respect when someone doesn’t want to go on tour.
“I’m always pushing to have a Spice Girls reunion and we were in talks last year but then Covid hit so it pushed everyone’s plans.
“I think we’re hopefully on the same page together.”
She added: “They’re going to kill me for saying this. We’re hoping, especially me – if it has anything to do with me, which it will have because I’m the driving force and will make sure it happens – to tour in 2023.”
While earlier this month, the ladies signed a global tour deal with Universal Music Group’s Bravado division with a multi-year partnership.
“We are so excited to be working with Bravado again, especially in this our 25th anniversary year and are looking forward to collaborating with the team,” the band said in a statement.
The exciting partnership will see the Spice Girls and UMG “work hand-in-hand to deliver new products and capsule collections to retail partners around the world”, the label said.
Rachel Redfearn, VP A&R and brand management at Bravado, said the best-selling girl group’s impact on popular culture “cannot be overestimated”.
“They stand for positivity, inclusion, bravery and diversity. All delivered in a bold, fun and energetic package. This message is as relevant today as it was in 1996… maybe more so,” she shared.
“Bravado’s alliance with this most iconic of bands will allow both existing and new fans the long-awaited opportunity to be a part of the legacy.”
The deal will see the group featured on a variety of merchandising, including clothing collections, new “direct-to-consumer” products, and advertising campaigns.
