While nearly every couple was thrown into a mess thanks to Casa Amor, it seems everyone is returning to their previous other halves
Love Island teases dramatic re-coupling
Love Island fans have branded Casa Amor ‘a waste of time’ as it appears all the islanders will end up back in their original couples.
This year’s second villa twist threw a massive spanner in the works of the contestants, with all but one couple breaking down as a result of the boys’ four-day getaway.
However, ever since they’ve returned, the original islanders have been gravitating back towards each other – despite major bust-ups between Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank, and Millie Court and Liam Reardon.
Even Toby Aromolaran, who returned from Casa Amor with Mary Bedford, found himself drawn back to Chloe Burrows – despite Abigail Rawlings being the girl he was coupled up with before he left.
Those who joined the show as a result of Casa Amor include Mary, Clarisse Juliette (who’s currently with Tyler), Matthew MacNabb (who’s now with Kaz), Dale Mehmet (who Chloe brought in as a friendship couple), Sam Jackson (who Faye Winter has already called things off with to return to Teddy Soares) and Amy Day (who seems safely loved up with Hugo Hammond ).
But with a new recoupling teased for tomorrow night’s episodes, fans reckon that those who joined the show as a result of Casa Amor have their days numbered.
With the girls deciding who to couple up with on Tuesday night’s episode, it looks like the boys are going out first.
Fans took to Twitter to blast the twist as a ‘waste of time’ as it seems all the couples – with the exception of perhaps Hugo and Amy – seem to have dissolved almost instantly.
“Imagine everyone does just go back to their previous couples so the casa amor drama was basically pointless,” wrote one.
“The Casa Amor girls and boys should just go home. They are bringing nothing. No one wants them anymore,” added a second.
A third joked: “Casa Amor might as well call it Casa No More couples left”
“They did all that in Casa Amor just to go back to who they were originally with..,” noted a fourth.
Ahead of tomorrow’s recoupling, the guys have some serious grating to do if they want to get back with their girls.
Currently, there is an even split of guys and girls – meaning that no one at the recoupling is facing getting dumped.
But it could mean some seriously awkward decisions in place, with Tyler leaving both Clarisse and Kaz hanging for a decision, and Matthew seemingly getting tired of being second place for Kaz.
Then there’s Millie, who is struggling to forgive Liam for his behaviour and snogging Lillie while he was on his ‘lads holiday’ in Casa with the boys.

Sam has now been dumped by Faye, and Dale is now a free agent after amicably ending things with Chloe as there’s ‘no romance there’ from either of them.
Then there’s the case of Toby, who has now ditched both Abigail and Mary in order to go all in with Chloe… even though he hasn’t spoken to her about it yet.
Love Island continues weeknights at 9pm on ITV2.
