Kylie Jenner’s pout has gained the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star a lot of attention.
Her lips hit headlines in 2014 when they appeared to increase in size – and at the time she denied having any enhancements – before a year later admitting that she achieved her plump cupid’s bow with the help of fillers.
And now, the reality TV personality – who grew up in front of the cameras on the E! series – has discussed the reason behind her opting for injectables to be inserted into her lips.
Kylie, 23, says that she decided to have her lips altered after being left feeling “unkissable” after a boy critiqued her kissing skills in her younger years.
The sex symbol reflected on taking the plunge with fillers during the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion show, The Final Curtain Part 1, on Thursday night.
She told host Andy Cohen: “My love for makeup started with my insecurity with my lips. And I didn’t ever think about it until I had one of my first kisses.”
Thinking back, the mother-of-one added: “A guy said to me, ‘Oh, my God, you’re such a good kisser, but you have such small lips,’ or something like that. And then, from then… from then on, I felt… unkissable.”
Revealing that comment upset her, she added: “I took that really hard. Just when a guy you like says that, I don’t know, it just really affected me.
“I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips. I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips.
“And then finally I was like ‘this lip liner isn’t doing it’, and I ended up getting my lips done.”
Back in 2018, Kylie had her lip fillers removed after finally admitting she’d had them done.
During her secret pregnancy with Stormi, sources said she stopped getting her pout topped up with hyaluronic acid.
“Kylie really fell in love with the natural look, and wanted more of that, so she decided to stop putting filler in her lips,” one told Harpers Bazaar.
But since then it seems Kylie’s changed her mind again and she is rarely seen without her huge lips.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians is over after 14 years and 20 seasons.
To mark the series wrapping the special reunion show was aired and a second instalment will be following soon.
Viewers see momager Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner sit down with Andy Cohen to reflect on the past 14 years of living their lives on camera.
