Kerry Katona and her daughter Lilly-Sue McFadden have signed up for E4’s Celebrity Ghost Trip in what will be the 18-year-old’s first television job
Kerry Katona’s teenage daughter has landed her first TV job.
Lilly-Sue McFadden, 18, has signed up for E4’s Celebrity Ghost Trip alongside her famous mum and she thinks it’ll be a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to hunt ghouls and ghosts.
The duo will be joined by host and tour guide Brendan Sheerin, whilst other contestants include Dick and Dom, Chloe Veitch and Nicole O’Brien, David Potts and Callum Izzard and Graft and Sian Gabbidon.
Lilly-Sue said: “When I got asked to do Celeb Ghost Trip, the first thing I thought is ‘Do I really want to be stuck on a coach with my mum for a week’, but I’m really interested in the paranormal and witchcraft so I thought what a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
Mum Kerry added: “When I get asked to do things like this, I think what a great adventure and it’s something new and something I’d never be able to do normally. Also, it’s the first ever ‘ghost trip’ and it’s something that I couldn’t turn down.”
As with the usual Coach Trip series, Brendan will be armed with a red and yellow cards, whilst the pairs will choose who to vote off the coach in each round before they are replaced by a new pair of celebrities.
For this very special coach tour, the pairs will travel around Europe to some of the continent’s most spooky sites imaginable.
Kerry’s daughter Lilly-Sue is a huge paranormal fan and previously called herself a witch.
“I was born an Irish Catholic, but I’ve always been drawn to spells and crystals,” Lilly-Sue told OK! magazine.
“At the start of the first lockdown I was really struggling. Like everyone else I found it so hard and I was searching for something to make me feel better. I remember I went to the woods one day, and I actually got drawn down this path I’d never been down before.
“And there was this tree with a tiny fire burning by it. There was no one around, but there was a pagan symbol on the tree. It felt like a sign, so I went back and researched it and it took me down a Wicca rabbit hole. I realised it’s such a beautiful religion, it’s spiritual.”
Lilly-Sue – who is also the daughter of Brian McFadden – has spent lockdown learning spells.
“I do spell jars and candle spells for all sorts of things – for personal growth, for a good night’s sleep, to protect my family,” she added.
“It’s a very individual path for every witch – you do what you want, but you practice kindness and goodness, always. I don’t wear a pointy hat but I love my moon water, I love dancing in the rain and cleansing – it makes such a difference to my life.”
Celebrity Ghost Trip starts on Sunday 24th October at 9pm on E4.
