Emmerdale: April’s bully was revealed as Cathy

Emmerdale’s Cathy Hope goes on the missing list next week after the truth comes out about who is bullying poor April Windsor.

New ITV spoilers reveal that Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) will attempt to comfort a distraught April (Amelia Flanagan) as she gets bombarded with more bullying messages next week.

April tells Cathy to stay away before she becomes a target too and hurries off in tears, leaving Cathy feeling utterly guilt-stricken.

The next day, Cathy and and twin brother Heath (Sebastian Dowling) feel terrible knowing April has skipped school and Cathy realises that she needs to come clean to her.

April is shocked when Cathy breaks down and reveals she is the one who started the horrific online trolling.

Understandably, April is left incredulous by Cathy’s confession and heads off, irate, and leaving Cathy terrified of the consequences to come.

The next day April comes clean to Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and admits she’s being bullied again and now knows who it is.

Meanwhile, Heath rushes in to tell Bob and Brenda that his sister Cathy has gone missing overnight.

Panicking, Bob starts to search for Cathy but Rhona finds her and insists that she will be telling Brenda, Bob and the school about what she’s been doing to April.

But this leaves Cathy feeling frightened and she decides to make a run for it but a confrontation develops on Main Street as Cathy tries to run away from Rhona.

Brenda steps in as Rhona grabs Cathy to stop her from running away again, but Rhona ends up elbowing Brenda and catches her in the face.

When Brenda goes to grab Rhona again, she shoves her and Brenda falls roughly to the floor – leaving everyone shocked by the incident.

The following day Bob is feeling emotional as he finally has to face his failings as a father.

As he tries to talk to April’s father Marlon Dingle, tensions run high and their family rift seems unrepairable.

Will Marlon find it in his heart to forgive Cathy for what she’s done to April? Or will he take further action and make sure the teen pays for her nasty trolling?

Emmerdale airs every night at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
