Demi Lovato has ‘anxiety’ as they film first ever sex scene for Hungry

Demi Lovato has revealed they had “anxiety” while filming their first ever sex scene for new show Hungry.

The singer shared on Instagram that they were nervous, but the “professional” team made them feel at ease.

“I had a little anxiety going into it but the cast and crew were so professional and easy to work with, it calmed me down immediately,” Demi penned on Instagram.

The superstar shared a snap of themselves wearing a bra and knickers set, finishing off the caption with: “Then, I thought about how proud I am for being able to feel comfortable enough in my skin to do that. I rarely ever showed my arms before … now I’m in this! (Granted, it barely shows anything BUT STILL).”

Demi, who has openly shared their struggle with body image issues, said they were “celebrating the little wins” by sharing a sexy snap with their followers as they didn’t “always feel good” in their own skin.

They added: “It’s important to celebrate the little wins. Yay for this random burst of body confidence and yay for awkward hilarious sex.”

Demi is filming for TV comedy Hungry, alongside Valerie Bertinelli.

In recent months, they revealed how the ‘patriarchy’ was stopping them from coming out as non-binary.

Since sharing the honest social media post, Demi has spoken out about their decision and explained that the patriarchy was ‘putting me in a box’ and that they were ‘living my life for other people’.

Speaking to actress Jane Fonda on her Fire Drill Fridays, the singer said: “After years of living my life for other people, trying to make myself smaller for the patriarchy, they run the industry, they are at the centre of everything.

“When I realised that, I thought, ‘What are the ways that the patriarchy has been holding me back?’ And for me, it was putting me in a box telling [me], ‘You are a female, this is what you’re supposed to like, this is what you’re supposed to do, don’t dream bigger and don’t speak louder.'”

Patriarchy has been described as a society in which men have the power and often play dominant roles.
