Covid ‘rag’ being posted through doors sparks fury with fake news about vaccines

A leaflet being shoved through people’s front doors is causing anger as it claims coronavirus is a charade and the global pandemic is an “elaborate marketing scheme”.

The pamphlet from ‘The Light’, which claims to be a “people funded paper”, has been posted through letter boxes in Liverpool.

Full of misinformation it has sparked outrage from frontline workers and the public, and makes no reference to the more than 150,000 who have lost their lives to the virus in the UK.

With a headline “What pandemic?” it refers to life-saving coronavirus vaccines, whose first jab has been given to more than 34 million people, as “genetic therapy injections”.

A health worker, who asked to remain anonymous, told the LiverpoolEcho she was “astounded and disgusted” the propaganda had been circulating in the L8 postcode area.
