LOOSE Women’s Judi Love has admitted that she is “fasting” and undergoing gruelling workouts ahead of her Strictly Come Dancing debut.
The new series of the BBC show will be hitting our screens next month, and the celeb contestants are feeling the pressure.
The 41-year-old star has started HIIT (high-intensity interval training) and weight lifting, as well as fasting.
Judi shared: “I’m not doing exactly how the trainer is telling me to do it, but I’m doing it. There was a battle, but I thought even if I do half of it, which I manage… Before I know it I’ve done the 15 minutes.”
The TV favourite added to The Mirror: “Throughout the day I can always look back and think: ‘At least I’ve done 15 minutes this morning.’ I try to do a lot of fasting as well.
“I think the only exercise when I do it I feel the endorphins and feel powerful is when I do a little bit of weights. That would be my exercise addiction.”
The comic will be up against the likes of Katie McGlynn and McFly’s Tom Fletcher as they battle it out for this year’s Glitterball trophy.
She shared: “I don’t have any moves yet. I’m so nervous, it’s so out of comfort zone – but what an opportunity to learn a new skill.”
The star went on to admit that she was “overwhelmed with excitement”, and hopes to be paired with Graziano di Prima.
Judi added in her official statement: “I think I am still in shock that I will be part of this amazing show.
“I’ve watched it for many years and admired the phenomenal abilities of these dancers and celebrities that have taken part and dedicated themselves to learning a new craft.
“I’m truly looking forward to pushing myself in something that I could have only dreamed of doing and now it’s actually coming true! I can’t lie I’m soooo nervous but excited at the same time!”
