The Gunners have completed the signing of the England keeper from Sheffield United as they tied down the 23-year-old to a long-term deal.
It’s been a busy 24 hours for Mikel Arteta’s men as Ramsdale arrives shortly after Martin Odegaard came through the Emirates door from Real Madrid as Arsenal secured two signings in the one day.
And the goalie revealed that his switch to Arsenal was a long time in the making as he first heard “whispers” that the north London club were interested in him during Euro 2020.

But Ramsdale has also admitted it was a challenging time for him as all the noise in the background made it hard to focus on his football with the Blades as they started their Championship campaign.
He said: “It’s been difficult. It’s never easy when you are trying to focus on playing your football with speculation in the background, it’s difficult. Now, I am here and everything is sorted.
“It’s been a long few days, but it’s finally over the line and now I can get onto the training pitch and crack on and hopefully do what I do best.”
Asked when he first heard about Arsenal’s interest, he said: “It’s been a while, to be honest. There was speculation throughout the Euros and just sort of whispers and things so didn’t think too much of it.
“It gathered pace towards the Championship season, I played the first two games and over time, it just grew bigger and bigger.
“Thankfully, the two clubs reached an agreement to bring me here and as I said before, I am absolutely delighted.”
