Man Utd star Amad shows off battle scar as he laments treatment in Granada win

Manchester United winger Amad took to social media to show off a nasty graze as he lamented his rough treatment by Granada.

The Red Devils overcame the Spanish club with a 4-0 aggregate victory to advance to the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday.

Edinson Cavani scored early on and Jesus Vallejo’s 90th-minute own-goal secured second-leg victory for United and ensured there was no upset on the cards.

Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were rarely troubled by Granada, the two legs were physical battles, with the La Liga club committing 24 fouls and receiving eight yellow cards over the course of the tie.

Amad, 18, felt especially aggrieved by his treatment after replacing Mason Greenwood in the 82nd minute.

The winger had an excellent chance to score in the closing stages as United counter-attacked following a Granda corner.

With the visitors committing bodies forward in search of an equaliser, Amad seemed to have a free run on goal but he was hauled back by Granada forward Luis Suarez.

The Ivorian was able to shrug off the challenge, only to get clattered by right-back Victor Diaz.

Surprisingly, the referee did not award a foul or book either Suarez or Diaz – and Amad was clearly upset about his decision after the match.

The former Atalanta prodigy posted a picture of a cut on his arm and wrote “no foul” with fed up emoji.

Solskjaer acknowledged it was a “physical” encounter in his post-match interview, telling reporters: “Granada do give you a game.

“It’s a physical game, they throw people forward. You have to defend in these kind of games.

“2-0, clean sheet, some good individual performances. We’re full of confidence going into Sunday [against Burnley ].”
