Jake Paul and Tommy Fury both have upcoming fights on August 29, but should they both get past their opponents we could see the two men step in the ring to face each other
Paul and Fury will both fight on August 29 at Triller Fight Club. The controversial internet star turned pugilist Paul faces former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in the main event.
It was announced last week that Fury will make his American debut to face Anthony Taylor on the undercard of the event. Taylor is 0-1 as a professional boxer, but is 7-5 in the world of MMA with wins in promotions such as Bellator and Combate Americas.
Paul thinks Fury will have his work cut out for him on August 29, but if he wins is he open to a fight with the Brit.
“I’m winning on the 29th. I think Tommy has a hard fight in front of him that he doesn’t realise. Anthony is a very tough kid,” Paul told Sky Sports.
“Who has Tommy really been in there with? These are all guys that have been put in the ring against him, but he knows he’s going to beat.
“This isn’t the case (against Taylor). This is his first time fighting in a fight that isn’t four rounds and he looked tired in his four round fights.”
Tommy, who is the half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is 6-0 as a professional boxer. He recently defeated the unbeaten Jordan Grant in June.
On the flipside, Paul has won three fights as a professional. After knocking out YouTube star AnEsonGib and former NBA player Nate Robinson, Paul went on to dispatch former UFC welterweight Ben Askren in the first round this past April.

And Paul said of Fury: “I think he has a hard hard night ahead of him. But I do want him to come to the US and get some exposure to a different audience because I think us fighting down the line, if he can win, it’s a massive fight.
“He comes from a legendary family name and background. So it could potentially lead to a path where you see Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury.”
Fury threatened to “break every bone” in Paul’s face after the American took a jibe at his girlfriend. Paul laughed at Fury’s comments and questioned his will as a fighter.
“This isn’t the sixth grade. This is the fight business, people get killed in this business. He boxes because he was told to do so but his dad. He doesn’t have that real heart inside of him.
“He’s doing this because it’s something his brother did, something his dad did and he sees it as a way to make some money. If we ever get into the ring, I’m going to expose him for the b**** he is.”
