After the exertions of Euro 2020, each member of England’s squad has been enjoying some richly deserved time off. While some players have opted to stay in the UK, others, like Delcan Rice, have jetted abroad to soak up the sun.
Rice, who played in each of England’s seven Euro 2020 games en route to the final, can be seen with girlfriend Lauren Fryer – whom he has been with since the pair were teenagers.
Rice has been the subject of much transfer speculation of late, having helped West Ham achieve a high finish in last season’s Premier League, before becoming a key member of England’s Euro campaign – where he started in the final.
After a series of impressive performances in both competitions, he has been linked with moves to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
Rice and Fryer are childhood sweethearts, having first met many years ago in school.
Chelsea man Mason Mount – who Rice has known since the pair were 8-years-old – once joked that Fryer was jealous of his and Rice’s friendship.
Fryer keeps her private life to herself, but her Instagram page is littered with pics of her with the West Ham star, and the couple appear to be close, cosying up on the Spanish island.
She was present for most of Rice’s games at the Euros, and even uploaded a pic of herself with England flags painted onto her cheeks.
Elsewhere, Jack Grealish and Luke Shaw have also been catching some rays after their Euro 2020 heroics.
They were spotted on the Greek island of Mykanos, where the Villa man reportedly racked up a £7000 bar tab.
The Three Lions pair, along with their partners and friends, hired out an island in the exclusive beach-side pool bar of SantAnna.
Grealish is thought to have picked up the bill after the group’s Wednesday session, which saw the pals drinking 250 Euro bottles of Disaronno and 310 Euro magnums of Perrier Jouet champagne – as well as plenty of expensive food to boot.
As for Rice, he is expected to enjoy his last few days in paradise before heading back to London to prepare for another big season with the Hammers.
His dramatic summer may not be over just yet though, with reports linking the 22-year-old with a move to former club Chelsea.
The European champions are clearly out to splash the cash over the next few weeks, so there’s every chance that Rice could be lining up in blue again come the start of the Premier League season.
