In a time long before Towie and Love Island, it was the hit noughties TV drama Footballers’ Wives that had us gripped.
Before the term WAG was ever coined, the show centred around the women who were married to members of the Earls Park football team.
Never short of drama or a plot twist, it had everything from murder, love, and lust.
The show ran on ITV for five series from 2002 up until 2006, attracting a cult following. It spurred the spin off series Footballers’ Wives: Extra Time, featuring some of the original cast as well as a mockumentary.
The drama focussed on the lives of three very different couples in the first series, before developing into a complex love triangle between characters Tanya, Amber, and Conrad from season three onwards.
But 15 years on, where are the cast now? My London, with the help of Kent Live, takes a look.
Zoe Lucker – Tanya Turner
Tanya Turner was the lead character on the TV drama series for seasons 1-5 known for her ruthless, cold, and calculating behaviour.
Tanya, portrayed by Zoe Lucker, has been married twice and has been seen on our screens on several occasions.
Since the end of the ITV series in 2006, Lucy has gone on to play roles in some of TV’s most popular series.
She has played Vanessa in EastEnders, Carol in Waterloo Road and, most recently, Reenie in Hollyoaks.
Outside of TV dramas, Zoe was a contestant for BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, where she was partnered with James Jordan in 2009.
Gary Lucy – Kyle Pascoe
Kyle was a complete heartthrob on the show for the first three seasons.
Married to the character Chardonnay, Kyle was a man with a big heart who was Earls Park’s superstar striker.
Sadly, viewers will remember Kyle suffering a nervous breakdown after his wife’s death.

From Casualty to Hollyoaks to The Bill, Gillian is now mostly known for her current role in EastEnders.

Jason Turner was married to Tanya and was the father of Jackie’s baby in the show.
He was a larger than life character, achieving footballing success at a young age and brimming with talent.
However, Jason fell victim to alcohol, late nights and fast cars, which eventually saw his marriage to Tanya grow volatile and destructive.
He was played by Cristian Solimeno for the first two seasons.

Most noticeably, he starred in the film Rush in 2013 and The Glass Man in 2011.
Cristian actually directed and produced the film The Glass Man, as well as the film I Made This For You, in 2018.
