Line of Duty actress who went on to star in Netflix’s biggest show

Most of us are more used to seeing actress Claudia Jessie dressed in regency era clothing in Netflix’s hottest new show, Bridgerton.

The show based in Regency-era London has seen extraordinary success since it was first released earlier this year, catapulting its stars, such as Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor, into the limelight.

In the hit show actress Claudie Jessie plays the lovable and iconic Eloise Bridgerton, the fifth Bridgerton child who is strongly against making her societal debut.

Before the actress was bringing us strong feminist energy through her character in Bridgerton, she featured in another hit show that is also currently gaining huge public attention.

Claudia starred in the fourth season of the hit BBC police drama Line of Duty back in 2017.

The actress starred in six episodes as Detective Constable Jodie Taylor, who worked alongside DCI Roz Huntley (Thandiwe Newton) who was the main target of AC-12’s investigation into bent coppers.

Eagle-eyed fans may also have spotted the actress in a number of appearances in popular shows such as Call The Midwife, Casualty, Doctors and Doctor Who.

The actress is expected to resume her role as Eloise in the second season of Netflix’s Bridgerton, which the streaming platform has confirmed is in the works.

Fans of the hit show were deeply disappointed to hear that leading man, Regé-Jean Page, would not be back for the second season of the period drama.

Netflix made the announcement that the show would return for a second season with a post in keeping with the theme of the series, which read: “The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honor to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season.

“I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion.

“The incomparable cast of Bridgerton will return to production in the Spring of 2021.

“This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.

“However, gentle reader, before you set the comments section alight with requests for more sordid details, know that I am disinclined to report on the particulars at this time. Patience, after all, is a virtue.”
