The Chase is one of the nation’s favourite quiz shows but contestants can often come under fire from the show’s loyal viewers.
Bradley Walsh was back hosting the hit ITV game show on Thursday (May 13) where contestants line up to test their knowledge against a Chaser.
Four new players: Andrea, Rosie, Daniel and Aodhan took the spotlight to take down one of the country’s finest quiz brains Jenny Ryan.
Only two contestants made it through to the final chase, which ended up in a disaster as the team was caught after answering only nine questions correctly.
Rosie, a screenwriter from Dorset, and Daniel a singer-songwriter from London, took on Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan in an attempt to win £10k and failed miserably.
Taking no chances, Rosie buzzed first at every question and consequently delivered wrong answers and only nine right.
Daniel was unable to get a word in as his teammate kept trying to get answer the questions first – he didn’t press his buzzer first for one question in the final chase.
Before the show finished, Jenny said: “I felt for Daniel during that.
“I know what it’s like to be on a quiz team with somebody that is just beating you to the buzzer every time”, before joking: “Paul Sinha.”
Viewers were left feeling frustrated with Rosie’s game plan and took to Twitter to show solidarity for Londoner Daniel.
One person said: “Daniel might have got a few more if she hadn’t have pressed the button and got them wrong so often #noiinteam #TheChase.”

A second wrote: “Poor Daniel, what on earth was Rosie doing? She was trigger happy & hadn’t a clue. Must be in the running for the worst performance #thechase.”
A third said: “Caught the end and what is Rosie all about. Feel sorry for Daniel #TheChase.”
“Daniel is rightly annoyed. Rosie ruined that #TheChase”, stated one annoyed viewer.
“#TheChase @jenlionAnyone else fuming for poor Daniel? He tried to buzz in loads of times knowing the answers, Rosie was so selfish there!”, added another.
