Jesy Nelson treated herself to a night on the town on Saturday following a week of controversy over her new single with Nicki Minaj. She was seen having drinks with friends on the night of her former Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s huge 30th birthday party
Jesy Nelson was out downing shots with friends on the night her former Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock threw a huge 30th birthday party.
New mum Leigh-Anne, who gave birth to twins in August, marked the milestone earlier this month and celebrated with friends and family at a lavish bash last night.
Jesy – who was seemingly embroiled in public feud with Leigh-Anne this week – was not at the bash and was instead seen having drinks with friends ‘Eyebrow King’ to the stars, Sal.
In a video posted on Instagram, the camera panned round to Sal, who was wearing a pink Moschino top, and Jesy was heard saying: “Hey baby.”
The next shot shows a row of cocktails and shots lined up for the pair to drink.
It’s been a tough week for Jesy as she was caught up in a blackfishing row over her debut single Boyz.
An argument seemingly erupted between her and Leigh-Anne Pinnock who allegedly backed the view that Jesy had been ‘blackfishing’ with her music video.
Blackfishing is a term used for people who alter their appearance to appear black or mixed race.
DMs seemingly sent from Leigh-Anne to an influencer were made public and suggested she was unhappy with Jesy’s video and accused her of cutting off her former bandmates.
The messages, which have not been verified as being sent by Leigh-Anne, also called Jesy “horrible”.
It led to Jesy’s Boyz collaborator Nicki Minaj calling Leigh-Anne out during an Instagram live
Nicki addressed Leigh-Anne’s alleged messages in the broadcast, calling her “jealous” and a “clown”.
Jesy, 30, previously addressed the blackfishing claims, saying: “I’m very aware I am a white British woman. I’ve never said that I wasn’t.
“But I mean, like, I love Black culture. I love Black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on.”
The row this week has been followed by the news Little Mix are reportedly set to split in the coming months.
Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade have carried on as a trio since Jesy left last year, but it is now rumoured Little Mix are now set to part ways to focus on solo careers.
The Sun on Sunday reported the news could be announced within weeks.
An insider said: “A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.”
Both Perrie and Leigh-Anne also recently became mothers for the first time, with Perrie giving birth to a baby boy called Axel in August.
While Leigh-Anne and her footballer fiance Andre Gray welcomed twins the same month, but their names have yet to be revealed.
Little Mix, who were put together on The X Factor after all four girls auditioned separately, became the first band to ever win the show back in 2011.
With hit singles like Wings, Black Magic and Shout out to My Ex they quickly became the biggest UK girl band since the Spice Girls, selling 60 million records worldwide.
This year marks the band’s 10 year anniversary.
