House builders’ donation will fund benches and a gazebo for St Andrew’s Hospice

As part of its ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has made a three-figure donation to St Andrew’s Hospice.

The £500 contribution follows the house building company’s progress with its latest two developments in North Lanarkshire – pre-construction work starting at Meadowside in Glenboig and the first homes launched for sale at Torrance Place, Holytown.

Since the start of the pandemic, the hospice has been providing its Hospice Hearty Meals service, which has been funded via grant funding and fundraising donations.

Commenting on the support that it has received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, Lorna McCafferty of St Andrew’s Hospice told Lanarkshire Live : “On behalf of the patients and families that the hospice helps to care for and support we would like to thank Taylor Wimpey West Scotland for their generous donation of £500, which will be used to purchase two outdoor benches for our patients attending our outpatients and wellbeing services, and a gazebo for outdoor activities.”

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “We are delighted to be able to support St Andrew’s Hospice and the incredible service that it provides to the local community of North Lanarkshire with this donation.

“Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us and it’s great to know that we are making more contributions that go directly to making a difference to the lives of people in local communities.”

Taylor Wimpey’s donation to the hospice is one of the many contributions being made by the house builder across the wider area.
