PromeX crowned Company of the Year at DerbyshireLive Business Awards 2021

An industrial product manufacturer has been crowned Company of the Year at the 2021 DerbyshireLive Business Awards.

PromeX, which is based in Derby, makes and supplies engineering products such as components, assemblies and kits for global clients in the rail, oil and gas industries alongside subcontracted laser services.

Its entire operation is located under one roof in the Crewton district, designed to make project management as fluid and efficient as possible.

It is now looking to expand its operations into new fields such as nuclear, aerospace and renewable manufacturing projects.

The company won the Excellence in Manufacturing category before being crowned overall Company of the Year (scroll down for full list of winners).

There were also two double winners at the award ceremony in the shape of doughnut company Project D and family-owned recycling group Ward.

DerbyshireLive editor Natalie Fahy said: “I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to all of our finalists, winners and especially our company of the year Promex.

“They are showing how excellence in manufacturing is done and, by looking to broaden their client base, are cementing a stable and positive future for the business right here in Derby.

“The 2021 awards have shown that employers across Derby and Derbyshire have battled against the covid pandemic and I am confident they will go on to prosper in the years to come.”

The awards were held in partnership with Champions at Derby Arena and were hosted by TV presenter and comedian Mark Dolan and former Olympic badminton star Gail Emms.
