Loyal marketing agency staff rewarded with directorships

Marketing agency Plinkfizz has appointed two new directors as part of its plans for growth.

Rob Forster and Kirsty Hewson both joined the agency four years ago as head of studio and PR account manager respectively.

Now the pair have been promoted to the board of directors and will work alongside managing director Fiona Hawkins and director Paul Hawkins to develop the team and support the Stoke-on-Trent company’s clients.

Fiona said: “We have had a significant shift in direction and culture over the past four years and Rob and Kirsty have been pivotal in helping us support the team with these changes.

“Last year during the pandemic, like all businesses, we didn’t know what the future was going to bring but Rob and Kirsty were both steadfast in their support and helped keep the business operating.

“We were able to fully open our office and resume full capacity by June 2020 which is testament to the team’s work, Rob and Kirsty’s support and our excellent local reputation.”

Rob, who is now studio and creative director said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be invited to join the board of directors and look forward to further assisting the business on a strategic level supporting the growth aspirations of Plinkfizz as well as continuing to push our clients forward creatively.

“We have a very talented and dedicated team with expertise in digital marketing and a studio of highly creative designers, so this is an exciting time to be part of Plinkfizz, working with existing and new clients to help them achieve their goals.”

PR and outreach director Kirsty added: “I’m over the moon to be recognised with this accolade. I’ve loved Plinkfizz from the beginning. The ethos and culture is completely aligned with my own personal views and so I have always wanted to build my career with Fiona, Paul and the team.

“We have some incredible clients and have built outstanding relationships with each one. I’m very proud to be a part of Plinkfizz and I’m excited to be a part of its strategy for growth moving forward.”

As well as the newly-formed board of directors, Plinkfizz has recruited its very first apprentice – Charlotte Harvey – who has joined as digital content apprentice.
