There are few things more frustrating than job-hunting and not getting anywhere.
Spending hours trawling through endless recruitment sites, firing off your CV left, right and centre, only to get no response or feedback in return.
This is particularly true for office-based roles, such as HR and marketing, where the sheer number of jobs out there can be so overwhelming.
If you don’t know where to begin, Tate Recruitment can help.
The Nottingham-based recruitment agency specialises in matching candidates up with their perfect office role, with a huge range of clients and sectors to choose from.
This year, Tate is proud to be sponsoring the Sales and Marketing category at the NottinghamshireLive Business Awards.
The awards take place on October 14, and aims to celebrate the achievements of businesses in the region.
Through the category sponsorship, Tate hopes to shine a light on businesses that have shown outstanding levels of sales, and innovative marketing techniques.
Opportunity for everyone
Karen Houghton, executive operations manager at Tate, is proud of how the recruitment agency works to help people secure the perfect job for them.
She said: “We interview every single person who applies for a job through us, which a lot of agencies don’t do now.
“We do everything face-to-face or virtually, and really get to know each candidate – their likes, dislikes, and we try to fit that personality profile with the client’s requirements.”
Tate works with a range of different sectors, including the UK government and the NHS.
When you visit the website, jobs are very clearly laid out and split into different sections, such as HR, marketing and finance.
This means that searching for jobs doesn’t have to be a lengthy and stressful process – Tate has all the best office jobs in the UK, all in one place.
Supported all the way
A good relationship with candidates and clients is one of the most important things in a recruitment agency, and Tate certainly ticks all the boxes.
Karen explained: “It’s not just about throwing the candidate into their new role. We do lots of things for our clients to support the recruitment cycle.
“For example, we have an online platform that records the candidate’s interview, which we then pass on to the clients and it works really well.
“We also reference all of our candidates, and make sure they’re all registered with their proof of right to work.”
Karen continued: “Personalities are really important to us. Someone might not have 10 of the 10 skills required, but their personality might be a really great addition to the team. We’ve got to know our clients really well too, so it’s just trying to marry the two up.”
Tate relies heavily on sales and marketing strategies to fill positions, which is why Karen and the team are so happy to be sponsoring that category at the awards.
Karen said: “I just think that local companies that are doing well for themselves and have shown that they can quickly adapt in the face of change is such an admirable thing.”
